The Monacan Indian Nation Childcare Development Program has resumed accepting childcare applications and accepting eligible families. The Monacan Indian Nation Childcare development program (MIN CCDP) is designed to provide monetary help to low-income families who need childcare assistance. It is operated by a grant from the Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Children and Families, Childcare Bureau.
Parents Must Meet the Below Income Levels to be eligible.
Family Size 1: 59,230
Family Size 2: 77,455
Family Size 3: 95,679
Family Size 4: 113,904
Family Size 5: 132,128
Family Size 6: 150,353
Family Size 7: 153,770
Family Size 8: 157,187

Welcome to the Monacan Indian Nation Childcare development program!! I would like to personally thank you for considering the Monacan Indian Nation for your childcare needs. We are committed to enhancing your quality of childcare and providing you with a loving, safe, and educational environment for your child to grow, learn and play. As a father of a preschooler, I understand how difficult it can be for working parents to balance all of their commitments and responsibilities in their daily lives. I am honored to be your Childcare Administrator and look forward to working with the wonderful families of the Monacan Indian Nation and helping parents afford and make informed childcare decisions.
This program is income based and available for children under 13 years old who are identified as an American Indian/ Native. To be eligible for the program parents must be working, in school or participating in job training. Families will be responsible for a copayment that is based on a sliding fee scale set by the state of Virginia if accepted to the program. The child’s primary residence must be within the Monacan Service Area which includes the counties of Amherst, Albemarle, Appomattox, Augusta, Bedford, Botetourt, Buckingham, Campbell, Nelson and Rockbridge. Cities include Lynchburg, Lexington, Charlottesville. Staunton, Waynesboro and Buena Vista.
